Evans Furnace Installation. Replaced Carrier furnace.
Call back service - customer has not changed filter since Jan of 2024. Replaced with a new filter and discussed proper filter replacement. Checked error code history - 000 - none present. Checked heat runs to ensure all dampers are open Sent a camera down the 3 concerned heat runs - no dampers on these heat runs. First target concern - bedroom - the heat register is behind a dresser and this the type of register is pushing the air up and not out. Air temp coming out is over 110f. Air temp right in front of the registers was in the 70s and the air above it was 104f Other target concern - lower level (back split) 2 registers had register scoops sending the air toward the returns in that room along the ceiling and not downwards Air temp coming out of those vents was 107 and climbing. Increased fan speeds that were set low, and discussed running the fan on constant operation to help maintain a more even distribution of heat throughout the home. Thermostats location is in main living

Work Performed: Investigated loud noise coming from the fireplace when the fan is running. Results: Found the fireplace fan motor seized—this is the source of the loud noise. A new fan motor assembly is required to restore proper operation. Noted that the fireplace has not had maintenance in some time and is due for a full maintenance service. Also observed that the boiler on site has not been serviced since 2022 and is in need of maintenance. Recommendations: Will provide an estimate for: Fireplace fan motor replacement Fireplace maintenance Boiler maintenance

Work Performed: Investigated leak from Bosch combination boiler, which has caused significant water damage to the basement floor. Results: Leak appears to be coming from either the flow meter or the three-way valve. Unable to isolate the exact source due to proximity of both components and active water leakage. Damage to flooring suggests the leak has been ongoing. Recommendations: Recommend replacing both the flow meter and the three-way valve to ensure the issue is fully resolved. Will provide two estimates: One for repair and part replacement One for a replacement combination boiler as an alternative option

Work Performed: Responded to no heat and no domestic hot water complaint on a Navien combination boiler. Upon arrival, boiler displayed error code 733, which according to Navien technical support typically indicates low gas pressure causing short cycling. Results: Called Navien tech support immediately as per error code instructions. Verified inlet gas pressure at the gas valve using a manometer: Static pressure: 8.5" WC Pressure during high fire: dropped to 6.45" WC Both readings fall within Navien’s acceptable range (3.5"–10.5" WC). Observed system operation for 20 minutes; boiler operated normally during both home heating and DHW demand. Heating pressures stable at 24 psi and temperature readings were within normal limits. Cleared error code and boiler resumed normal function. Recommendations: While gas pressure appears normal, the meter is old and rusted—possible cause of intermittent pressure drops. Advised customer to contact Enbridge for evaluation or potential meter replacem

Observed water on the floor near the furnace—source unclear at this time. Next Steps Required: Replace inducer motor to restore proper furnace function. Perform full furnace maintenance to confirm system is operating safely and efficiently. Investigate source of water—could be from furnace drain or possibly the water heater. Source will be confirmed during maintenance.
